    I'm Alive!

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't posted in awhile. When I got back to Minneapolis, I came down with a nasty sinus infection that turned into pneumonia. So I have been sick ever since I got back. What a bummer right? The good news is, I'm much better now!

Last Monday was my birthday. Besides being sick, it was pretty cool. I received a package in the mail from Peter Moore. I got a Team Xbox Faceplate that he had autographed, a ton of Xbox 360 T-shirts, Zero Hour baseball caps, four new games, a Bungie-issued Halo sweatshirt, and an Adidas Xbox 360 jacket. I will post pictures of everything in a little while. I'll write more later this week.

    E3 Day 3: Final Judgement

By the time you get to the third day, you are glad E3 is finally over. I know some of you are reading this and saying, "that can't be true!" Honestly, it is. If you have noticed, my first post was absolutely excellent. My second post, not so much. It's because I'm so tired by the middle of the second day. I hear my friends complain about how their feet hurt, dehydrated, and sore all over. Even though I can't walk, it's mentally exhausting as well. Thinking about where you have to be, who you have to interview, who's interviewing you, what time to be there, and trying to be noticed to even have a chance to be in the videogame industry, can be very overwhelming. I appreciate the patience a lot of you have shown. I know I have over 400 people viewing my blog and look forward to reading what I have to say. I guess that means I better start posting.

My day started out kind of irritating. Northwest Airlines finally called me after almost a week regarding my wheelchair. I was on the phone with them for over two hours and was late to the convention. They were attempting to make deals with me over the phone, but I explained to them I will have to speak it over with my lawyer first. They did however, upgrade our seats to first-class in an attempt to try and soften me up. I am not sure where this lawsuit or settlement is going, but first-class is a start. For the record, I've never sued anyone in my life, but they ruined a $40,000 wheelchair and I'm not eligible for a new one for 2 more years.

Anyway, I finally got to the convention around 11 a.m. I headed over to the E3 blogger bus because I thought they were going to take a group picture of all of us bloggers. Major Nelson had to leave on a flight early, and everyone else was trying to get everything ready to put away and end the show. So not taking the group pictures is completely understandable. I'm making a documentary about the first ever E3 bloggers for Microsoft anyway and have interviewed most of the other bloggers. And the video has turned out awesome so far. I'll be sending the video to Major Nelson and Trixie to view and maybe put up on Xbox.com. It will be a few weeks until the final edit of the video, but trust me, you'll love it. I'm not in the video much, but Trixie is, so you know damn well it will be sexy!

Speaking of Major Nelson, I would like to apologize. Trixie had informed me that Major Nelson was not feeling very well and that he is usually a very active and conversational type of guy. I suppose a lot of us had a ton of stuff to deal with and meeting each other for the first time at a hectic place like E3, sometimes doesn't go as smoothly as you'd like. I'm sure I'll have the chance to meet up with Major Nelson in the future and rub off some of my crazy personality that I rubbed off on Kim, Tony, and John. So Major, if you read this, shoot me an e-mail okay?

Now, today I promised to answer all the requests that you all posted on the Xbox.com forums. So we'll start with Huxley. Huxley is a massive multiplayer online first-person shooter. The PC version of Huxley will be released before the Xbox 360. However, the Xbox 360 version will be released three to six months later. The PC version and the Xbox 360 will have cross-platform servers. The Xbox 360 version will include a new city that ties into the PC version storyline. Webzen, (the developers of the game) also stated the Xbox 360 version will have more customization when it comes to player creation, and solo missions will be an exclusive. Huxley will be released early 2007.

Rainbow Six: Las Vegas, let me start out by saying I am a huge fan of the Rainbow Six series. The new addition to the series literally made me so excited, that I interviewed every developer that was available and had worked on the game. Rainbow Six: Las Vegas uses the Unreal 3.0 engine, so you know the graphics will be top-notch. From what I have seen, that is definitely true. You have more options this time around during the many battles you will encounter. You can scale alongside a building and gain entry through any window on the building, you can slip a mini camera under a door and see where the terrorists or hostages are located, and once you locate the terrorists, you can mark them so your team will know their locations and take them out on your command. I don't have many pictures of the game, but I do have tons of video that I will post in a few weeks. Ubisoft is looking at a November or December release.

Regarding Gears of War and Halo 3, everything was really hush-hush. I have no more information than what you have seen on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

And finally, the booth babes! I have uploaded a ton of pictures and more on the way. The connection in our hotel has been horrible. We will be home Monday afternoon and I will upload more then, as well as work on the video.

Holy cow Batman! I just noticed I am in the Friday's Backstage Pass video on the Xbox Live Marketplace! And all this time I thought they edited all the party videos and pictures on purpose. Trixie is right, I am very paranoid lol. I'm just kidding, I learned all about minority filming when I attended college at Cal State for Theater Arts, but I switched to Game Design at Brown College in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

On a serious note, I know E3 is over now, but please keep on checking out my blog. I will update it regularly. I created this blog to track my progress in the videogame industry. I was an intern at Activision Value for seven months and have some knowledge of the industry. But blogging for Microsoft really opened my eyes to what it's like to work for Microsoft. They have a sense of family, something I really enjoyed and would love to be a part of someday.

So what are my final thoughts? Besides my wheelchair breaking down and my dignity being taken away by having to be pushed around, this turned out to be the best E3 ever! I had the privilege of meeting the coolest people in the business. Peter Moore, Trixie, Major Nelson, the PMS clan, Frag Dolls, GamerTag Radio staff, and the rest of the Xbox Team. Being there and meeting these great people, makes me want to try even harder to someday be in their shoes and help shape the way the world looks at interactive media.

    E3 Day 2 Part 2

As I was packing up to go back inside, TriXie just happened to stop by the blogger bus! She gave me a very nice complement about yesterday's blog. Some of the other bloggers and I thought it would be cool to get a group picture of the first ever Official E3 Xbox Bloggers. I suggested this idea to TriXie and she absolutely loved the idea. So I will be back at the bus tomorrow at 11 a.m. Pacific standard Time.

I was outside blogging for most of the afternoon and severely sunburned myself. I currently have an ice cold washcloth around my arm, that seems to be helping. I'm hoping my nose won't be as red tomorrow for the picture. And for the record, this sunburn, hurts like hell lol.

I talked with Major Nelson again, and apologized about last night at the party. He seemed to have no idea what I was talking about. So maybe I'm just paranoid. Major Nelson is a pretty intimidating guy. At least that's how he seems to me. I have no problem conversing with anyone else on the Xbox team except him. I have an easier time talking to TriXie, Kim, John, or hell, even Peter Moore. Whom I saw again today in the halls and he stopped me to tell me hello (I Can't believe he remembered my name!) and asked to hear from me soon. But going back to Major Nelson, I'm sure it's just because he's busy. He is the director of Xbox Live after all.

Unfortunately, I spent all morning covering the Nintendo booth and have not had much time to do, or cover anything else. I have extensive video footage of the entire E3 experience. The connection speed in our hotel is worthless and would take a few hundred hours to upload. Besides, I would like to make a professional edit of the video. So after E3, please keep coming back and I'll have the video available for download within two weeks.

Here's what I have in store for you tomorrow. A lot of individuals on the forums such as: greekGeek718, DM Duo Maxwell, MoshPitVet, Sirharper, Abs of flab, Blackchild1101, Dan12R, and finally HSK CANDLHOLDER, asked me to bring them specific information on specific items. So, I'm going to make good on my promise by doing so. Not only that, I'll dump all the best photos from 8 different cameras I have floating around the show floor! That's over 200 exclusive photos! Yes, we have tons of Booth Babes as well!

Before I go, I wanted to show you this picture of a public subway elevator I had to use on the way back to my hotel. That image contains trash, human feces, and urine. There was no other elevators I could use to get to the street level. It smelled so bad I couldn't stop gagging. I had no other choice.

    See you tomorrow!

    E3 Day 2 Part 1

Coming to you live from E3 2006! We're just chillin outside the Xbox 360 blogger bus, but we'll get to that later...

Last night I promised you the full coverage of the Nintendo Wii. This years Nintendo booth was extremely impressive. Tons of strobe lights, lazers, and hands-on demos. But let's get to the nitty gritty now shall we? The cost of the Nintendo Wii has yet to be announced. However, they are speculating a significant lower price than the other consoles on the market. There was a rumor going around online that the Nintendo Wii does not support high definition. Unfortunately, this rumor is 100% true. Although the Nintendo Wii does not have the superior graphics capabilities of the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, it truely is a next-gen system in it's own right. The innovative controller, believe it or not is 99% accurate and provides a whole new genre of gaming experience. Game designers, such as myself, can find hundreds of ways to make use of this new type of control. Check out the photos of the accessories line-up!

Right now I'm having a blast hanging out with Kim Page, the coolest Administrative Assistant at Xbox Live. She has the greatest sense of humor and is always smiling or trying to make someone laugh. She seemed to enjoy my company as I definately enjoyed hers. The Xbox Team then ordered a million pizzas, ok maybe more like 20. One of which flew across the street due to the wind and pizza slices were everywhere!! We then hummed "Taps" as we threw it in to the garbage.

Well hey, we're about to head back in and bring you more E3 live!

    E3 Day 1

This trip... no wait, for lack of a better word, adventure, has started out in the worst possible scenerio ever. We flew into Los Angeles from Minneapolis and our flight was delayed by 2 hours due to a severe thunderstorm. That was just the tip of the iceburg. I use a power wheelchair to be fully mobile and independent. Northwest airlines left my power wheelchair out in the rain, and by doing so they fried the entire circuitry of my wheelchair. The main CPU inside the chair I have has a $25,000 chip in it that was destroyed. Rest assured, Northwest airlines is going to be paying for a new wheelchair and plus some.

On a brighter note, I have eight really good friends who offered to push me around the convention center to bring you guys the best of everything I can. I would like to thank TriXie for allowing one of my friends to attend the after party. TriXie is a sweetheart and really bent over backwards to help me out. Another person I would like to thank is Catherine Steffan, E3 event staff, for allowing extra E3 badges for the friends that had to help push me around the convention center. She too, was a sweetheart *BIG HUGS TO THEM BOTH*.

Speaking of sweethearts, remember the banned booth babes this year? Well the babes protested outside the Convention Center to show their frustration with the new rules! Check out the photo.

The first thing I did after everything was said and done, was go straight to the Tecmo booth. I was dying to know if Tomonobu Itagaki (Creator of Dead or Alive) was attending E3 this year. I was told he is here but will be in press conferences the next few days. Hopefully I get a chance to meet him since Dead or Alive is one of my all time favorite games. I did manage however, to get my picture taken with the Dead or Alive models... yes I know, I'm a stud.

Remember we got to E3 late because of the wheelchair problem. We didn't see alot today because we arrived 3 houre before it was over. Next, the friends that I was with, really wanted to check out the new Playstation 3. I must say it was pretty impressive. The price range is a tad steep though. $499 for the core system and $599 for the premium package and includes a 60 Gigabyte hard drive.

We did stop by the Nintendo booth, but it was VIP only. However, we managed to weasel ourselves in early tomorrow morning! So we'll bring you everything on Nintendo later.

It's now time for the C3@E3 after party! All I can say is, absolutely amazing! We came in and TriXie noticed us right away. She introduced us to some of the other bloggers and then moved on. I chatted it up with Spawn 720p and a few of the others for a long while. Soon after Major Nelson made an announcement stating that Peter Moore was in the house! I had the honor to have a conversation with Mr. Moore. He said he would like to meet up with me again sometime at an event less stressful. Very, very, very nice guy.

Amber, the leader, of the PMS clan came to me and offered me a drink and we just started to kinda hang out. One thing about me that you guys don't know is I play videogames with my mouth with a normal Xbox 360 controller. A guy (I didn't catch his name) was following around the PMS and the Frag Dolls making a documentary about female gamers. He saw that I was hanging out with them and got curious on how I played videogames and how I got into the gaming industry. I demostrated my gaming ability on the new Sonic the Hedgehog game for Xbox 360. He recorded me playing and was blown away on how good I was. He asked if it was ok that I was in the documentary as well. Of course I said yes.

A reporter from Singapore wanted to interview me for Tamil Murasu, equivalent to our New York Times.

Sorry my paragraphs are getting shorter everyone, but it's going on 3am and I'm trying to get as much in as I can before I fall asleep.

Right after the reporter from Tamil Murasu interviewed me, I was approached by Gamertag Radio's Danny. I was interviewed by him and had a great time. You can find their website and listen to the audio interview at http://www.gamertagradio.com .

And finally, I got to meet Major Nelson. We had a great conversation going until I mistakenly made some suggestions on the 360 dashboard updates. I'm sure that's definately not what he wanted to talk about at a party. I feel pretty bad actually because as soon as I mentioned it he said he had to go. I have two days to appologize to him and regain any respect he had for me. But he seems like a great guy.

Well guys it's 3am and I need some sleep so I can cover tomorrow. I'll make tomorrows blog much more informational. Sweet dreams all and enjoy the pictures.

    2 Days til E3!

As E3 draws closer, I'm getting even more excited! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I have been preparing for my trip. Got some new clothes, got a 3 pack of Mini DV tapes for my camcorder, got a haircut, hell, I even got my glasses fixed!

Although I'm really excited, last night I made myself nervous as well by going to see "United 93" at my local movie theater. Not the smartest movie to see when you are flying half way accross the country within the next few days. The movie was emotional, but great. I just should have waited until after I got back from flying! *bites nails nervously*

But I know I'll be fine because I believe God has a higher purpose for me.....Like bringing you guys the best E3 ever! Besides, I'm still pretty new in the gaming industry and I think this is a great way to prove myself and become more well known to the executives of various studios/publishers.

    Keep rooting for me guys!

    Your homeboy,
    N0M4D

    Rumors, Rumors, Rumors!!!

STOP THE MADNESS!!! Logging onto the Xbox.com forums Sunday and yesterday, all I can say is, what in the heck are you people thinking?!? I heard everything from speculations about today's update, to people claiming they know people in the "inside." It became quite ridiculous, yet....humorous heh.

One user claimed he worked for Microsoft and began giving so-called hints on today's update. Another user in the same topic, seemed to back his claims. That is, until we found a link to their profile stating they were 15 years old!

All rumors were squashed after Major Nelson's blogcast Sunday night stating, "You people seem to know what you're talking about, but you don't. This update is nothing more than a patch getting ready for E3."

    So there you have it!
